Consumer price and services index in March

Price level of consumer goods and services in March 2011 rose by 0.9% in comparison to February 2011. In the first quarter of 2011 (1Q11) compared to the fourth quarter of 2010, the prices rose by 2.15% and by 3.8% when compared to the same period last year (i.e. 1Q2010). The biggest changes in the price level could be seen in food prices (by 4.0%) and in transport (by 3.4%). The smallest changes concerned prices of clothes and shoes (by 3.8%) and products and services in the field of communications (by 0.5%). (Central Statistical Office)
