Among subjects of the European Economic Congress 2011 you can also find points connected with climate and energy package and its impact on economy, the future of power industry and common EU energy policy, competitiveness of traditional industrial sectors, innovations, relations industry – science and links between development of economy, regions and cities.

Problems of Central and Eastern Europe region will be a subject of separate discussion this year. More detailed discussions will concern, among others, mining, metallurgy, heat engineering, gas market and construction.

The Congress will be held almost on the eve of taking over the presidency of the Coucil of the European Union by Poland. On the one hand, it enhances guests’ interest in Poland and in participation in the Congress, on the other one, it creates a natural need of introducing priorities of Polish presidency into the scope of topics.
